Arrest Follows Crash Between Car and School Bus in Mercer — Sep 12, 2017

A Woman was arrested on a fugitive warrant when she crashed her car into a school bus traveling on Bull Hollow Road. Just before 3 p.m., a white Dodge Neon driving down the narrow highway ran into the oncoming bus with 40 students inside. No injuries occurred. Parents arrived on the scene shortly later to retrieve their children. When police ran a check on the woman it was found there was a fugitive warrant for her from Virginia on a shoplifting charge. She was driving a vehicle with a stolen license, no plates or insurance. She was taken into custody and will also face traffic charges. Her name has not been released. There were three other adult females in the car. Bags containing drug paraphernalia were found inside the car. No one was hurt in the car.
