Benicia I680 Crash Kills Concord Woman — August 4, 2017

A fatal collision between a tractor trailer and a sedan on Friday morning on Benicia Bridge killed a 22-year-old woman from Concord. The accident occurred at approximately 6 a.m. when the black Honda sedan she was driving northbound on Highway 680 south of the I780 split, collided with the rear end of a big rig. She was pronounced dead on the scene. I-680 northbound to I-780 westbound was closed until about 8:30 a.m.
