Car Collides With Fire Hydrant in Sacramento — Jan 1, 2017

A car hit a fire hydrant in Sacramento Monday morning, causing water to shoot 30-feet into the air. The California Highway Patrol reported a broken water main at approximately 9:17 a.m. when a black Acura struck a fire hydrant at Gerber Road and Stockton Boulevard. The driver, experiencing blood pressure problems at the time, did not suffer any injury. The water department was not able to shut off the water before significant flooding occurred.
