Car Crashes into Eye Clinic in Castro Valley, CA

Castro Valley saw an unusual accident in early October 2015. A 55-year-old woman crashed her vehicle into an eye clinic and received major injuries. Early a.m. the woman was heading south on Lake Chabot Rd. She struck a signal pole at Castro Blvd, shooting her across the blvd, flipping and landing in the eye care clinic. Police arrived to find the woman trapped inside the overturned car. Emergency responders managed to extract her from the car and transported her to the hospital. PG&E officials were sent out to make sure no damage was done that could potentially harm the public.
