Ceres Hit and Run Ends in DUI Arrest — Oct 17, 2017

Forty-two-year-old Amy Jane Ellerson was found by police laying in her driveway in a puddle of urine in her yard. Police began the search for her after she hit another car in the Colony Park Estates mobile home park where she lives. The victim was driving her car westbound in the park at approximately 7:18 a.m. when she was hit by Ellerson in her black Honda. She was not using her headlights when she swerved onto the victim’s side of the road and hit her. After hitting the victim, Ellerson continued on without stopping and went out of the park. The Police were directed to the home of Ellerson from eyewitness testimony. She was too inebriated to stand or walk and was transported to an area hospital for a blood test before being arrested.
