Crash on I-80 in Fairfield Kills One — August 22, 2017

A car crash occurred on eastbound I-80 in Fairfield approximately 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. One person was killed. It was in in the area of the Pittman Road off-ramp. When police and rescuers arrived, there was one person trapped in the car unconscious. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Investigations are still underway to determine his identity. No other vehicles appear to be have been involved. There is no evidence of any passengers in the car.
