Danville Crash Closes Both Directions of I680 -- Dec 17, 2017

One person was hospitalized and both directions of Interstate 680 were blocked after several cars crashed Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol. The number of people involved, and the severity of injuries were not immediately known. The crash occurred on southbound I-80 south of the Sycamore Valley Road exit about 12:25 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said. The three far-left lanes of southbound I-680 were blocked at the exit until past 2:30 p.m., when a Sig Alert for severe traffic remained. The far-left lane in the northbound direction was blocked as well, the California Highway Patrol cleared the lane by 1:45 p.m.
