Driver Sought in I-580 Hit and Run — Nov 16, 2016

The California Highway Patrol is on the lookout for the driver of a Dodge car that was involved in a hit and run accident that killed a San Pablo man as he walked along I-580 Wednesday morning. Authorities believe the vehicle to be a blue 2015 or 2016 Dodge Dart. It will have damage on the right front side from the crash. No description of the driver is available. The victim has been identified as Luis Barba, a 31-year-old San Pablo resident. He was walking along the westbound lanes of I-580, west of Buchanan Street at approximately 4:30 a.m. Monday. The casualty caused an eight-hour closure of the westbound lanes while the inquiry was going on.
