Elk Grove Crash Kills One- August 10, 2016

Elk Grove resident, Shirley Knight, 82-years-old, died when she crashed into a landscaping truck in her Toyota Prius yesterday afternoon at approximately 4:30. The accident occurred on Promenade Parkway close to the Lent Ranch Parkway. The landscaping truck was travelling north on Promenade. Ms. Knight in her Prius was travelling south and began a left turn onto Lent Ranch in front of the truck when she collided with it. Ms. Knight was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident. The truck was hauling a trailer but none of the occupants have been reported hurt. As a result of the accident, Promenade Parkway, between Bilby and Kammer, was closed for many hours. No other information has been released yet.
