Exeter Sewer Site Crash Ends With DUI Arrest — Apr 14, 2017

Crews had been working on a pipe collapse and had installed a temporary sewer line near High Street when a local woman, 32-year-old Brandie Nichols, crashed into it while driving drunk. The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. Ms. Nichols was still behind the wheel, atop the temporary sewer lines, when officers arrived on the scene. She submitted to a breathalyzer which showed a BAC of .29, a number three times the legal limit. She was arrested and later bailed on a $2,000 personal recognizance bail. She will be arraigned Thursday.
