Fatal Crash in Danville Closes Busy Road — July 20, 2017

It was late Tuesday morning when a car travelling east crashed into a utility pole in front of Monte Vista High School. No other vehicles were involved in the crash that occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. the Stone Valley Road area near Monte Sereno Drive. Over 100 homes and businesses were without electricity for several hours after the accident. The driver was found to have serious imjury and was transported to an area hospital where he later died of his injuries. His name has not yet been released.
