A man from Chowchilla, Marc Garner II, 36, died Tuesday morning when he crashed his car, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, on Highway 41 in Fresno. He crashed into a tall cement support post for the freeway and burst into flames. According to witnesses, his car flew off the roadway at southbound Highway 41 and into the gore between the highways 180 and 168. Going between two guardrails, he hit the post.
