Fiery I880 Crash in Fremont Kills One — Oct 25, 2017

The driver of a minivan was killed in a single-car accident on I880 early Wednesday. The incident occurred at approximately 2:19 a.m. when dispatchers received reports of a wrong-way driver traveling south in a northbound lane, north of Auto Mall Parkway exit area. The vehicle was identified as a Mercedes ML350 burst into flames after smashing into the center divider and landing on its roof. No names were yet released as of Wednesday night.
