Gilroy Student Receives Major Injuries in Salinas Crash — Nov 4, 2016

A junior at Gilroy High, 16-year-old Dylan Holler, was involved in a three-car accident involving a tractor trailer truck where he received major injuries. His jeep hit the truck on his way to school at approximately 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lake and Shore Roads. The area is just outside Hollister. He had to be airlifted to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas but was eventually transferred to Sanford Medical Center. Authorities report the truck driver was traveling east on Shore Road and came upon a car stopped in mid left turn. He attempted to stop but the trailer swung into the westbound lane into the path of Holler. With no time to stop, Holler hit the trailer with the front left side of his jeep. A Dodge Ram traveling behind him swerved to avoid a collision, went off-road and ran into a fence.
