A Surprise man arrested following a crash that killed a motorcyclist on Loop 303 Tuesday night had a blood-alcohol content more than twice the legal limit, according to court records.
In preliminary testing conducted three hours after the crash, David Falco, 52, had an alcohol level of .167 percent, records show. Arizona's legal limit is .08 percent.
Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers arrested Falco on suspicion of driving under the influence after observing several visual clues of impairment, according to records. He was booked on suspicion of manslaughter and reckless endangerment.
Shawn Sather was the Harley Davidson motorcycle driver who died at the scene, according to court documents. Sather, a 42-year-old man from El Mirage, was not wearing a helmet.
