High Speed Pursuit Ends in Crescent City Collision — Apr 4, 2017

Two men were arrested Monday morning after running from police through the streets of Crescent City reaching speeds over 100 mph. It began at approximately 8:26 a.m. as police attempted to pull over a Nissan Pathfinder after it ran a stop light at the Inyo and Washington Street intersection. After checking, police found it was a stolen vehicle from the Eureka area. The chase wound down Pebble Beach Drive, A, G, and 4th streets and then onto U.S. 101 southbound. More Officers joined in the chase as it passed South Beach and went onto Sand Mine Road. The driver lost control trying to make a left turn through the stop sign at Sand Mine and Humboldt roads. He crashed into a grass embankment and stopped.
