Man in Wheelchair Killed by Car — Aug 16, 2017

A 64-year-old man in a wheelchair was killed when he was hit by a car. A Nissan and an Acura were on southbound Beach Boulevard. The Acura came into contact with the Nissan which caused it to lose control and run up the curb and hit the wheelchaired pedestrian. The man’s name has not been released but officials tried to save his life at the scene to no avail. He was pronounced dead at the hospital hours later. The driver of the Acura was on the scene. Drugs nor alcohol appear to have been a problem.
