One Dead in Highway 49 Head-on Crash — Jun 16, 2017

A crash on Highway 49 at North Auburn and Cramer Road turned deadly for one traveler. It was approximately 8:30 a.m. when a northbound minivan crossed into southbound lanes between Grass Valley and Auburn. A sedan travelling south was hit head-on by the minivan. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The van driver suffered only minor injuries. Names have not been released in the accident.
