One Killed in Turlock Highway 99 Crash — Jun 24, 2017

A man from Sacramento died Saturday when he was ejected from a car that had shot off road on Highway 99. The car then went through a fence and then into two redwood trees. A 42-year-old man died as a result of the crash. His identity has not yet been released. It was just after 4 p.m., south of West Main Avenue exit in Turlock when the crash happened. The man had been driving south when his 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo left the roadway’s right side. He crashed through the fence and hit the trees. Witnesses were unable to estimate his speed or identify which lane he was in when he crashed. He was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
