Pack Saddle Pass Road, Strawberry, El Dorado Snowmobile Accident Kills One Injures Another

According to the California Highway Patrol, a pair of snowmobile riders, Dean Ketterling, 58, and Igor Petrov were travelling at approximately 50 MPH near Pack Saddle Pass Road when Ketterling lost control and crashed into a tree. Police say alcohol and speed both played a part in the incident. Dean Ketterling died from his injuries at the scene. Passenger, Igor Petrov, was air lifted to a Reno hospital where he was treated for a broken leg and various injuries.
