A 3-year-old girl died Wednesday after she was struck by a car being driven by her father in a Redondo Beach parking garage, police said.
Just before 7 p.m., police were called to the garage, located on the 500 block of Harvard Road, where the girl had sustained "serious" injuries, said Redondo Beach Police Sgt. Claudio Losacco.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before she was transported to the hospital, where she died.
The girl's father remained at the scene and was questioned by officers. Police don't believe alcohol, drugs or speed were factors in the collision.
"He didn't see her, it was an accident," Losacco said, adding that the father was not arrested or cited.
