Riverside Multi-Car Crash With Big Rig Crash Kills 18-Year-Old Driver — Sep 8, 2017

Daisy Diaz Gomez, from Thousand Palms, 18, lost control of her car and swerved into an I10 guardrail and was then hit by a big rig truck. Gomez was driving eastbound on I10 at approximately 9:28 p.m. on Thursday in a 2012 Toyota Corolla. She hit a guardrail which bounced her into the middle lanes. It was struck there only moments later by a big rig truck. It then shot to the side of the road and hit a car that was stopped roadside. Her car flew out into the adjacent field where she was found dead. No one else was hurt.
