Santa Rosa Pedestrian Struck, July 25, 2016

While walking outside Rohnert Park in a street near the Graton casino, 24-year-old Santa Rosa resident, William Baumgartner, was walking near La Bath Avenue, close to the casino southward across Wilfred Avenue, when he was struck by a car driven by 31-year-old Jesse Jimenez, Vallejo. It was approximately 12:25 a.m. He explained to police that he hadn’t seen Mr. Baumgartner in time to stop. Investigations are underway to determine if Jimenez was intoxicated and how to proceed. Baumgartner is expected to survive.
