Man Killed by DUI Driver in Salinas, Monterey County — Sep 26, 2016

A man was killed in unincorporated Monterey County just outside Salinas on Sept 26th. The driver was a young man in his 20’s in a Chevy Cavalier. He was driving south on Old Stage Road when he took a curve. He lost control and spun into the northbound lane. A Dodge Ram truck hit him on the driver’s side door. The young man was then trapped inside the car and died at the scene. Neither drugs nor alcohol played a part in the young man’s accident but the driver of the Dodge was subsequently arrested for DUI.
