South Lake Tahoe Cyclist Hit by Car, Injured — Aug 28, 2017

A cyclist on Pioneer Trail in South Lake Tahoe was hit by a car and severely injured Monday evening. The accident occurred near dusk at the intersection of Shepherds Drive. Investigators believe the car was going at least 35 mph. After hitting the cyclist, the driver of the car ran him over. Neither victim nor drivers name has been released. The driver was taken to jail.
