Two Injuries After Vallejo Police Pursuit on I-80 — Mar 21, 2017

Vallejo police chased Phillip Chambers of Vallejo, 25-years-old, along westbound Interstate 80 in Crockett until the chase ended in a crash. Three cars were involved. It was around 3:15 p.m. when Vallejo police began the chase of the Mercedes at the Union Avenue and Lemon Street intersection. The license plate did not match the car but when police attempted to pull it over, it sped away. The chase reached speeds of 120 mph over the Carquinez Bridge, ending in a hit and run wreck with the Mercedes, a Honda Civic and a Honda CRV a few miles east of San Pablo Avenue. One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of injury.
