Two Young Boys Killed in Concord Crash — July 2, 2017

A mother and her three boys were on their way home from a drive-in movie when a man with no driver’s license crashed into them, killing two of the boys and severely injuring the mother and infant son. It was just before 11 p.m. as the family travelled in their 2006 Dodge Durango down the on-ramp near the Solano Avenue exit. A man driving a 2004 Infinity westbound came off the exit and sped across the on-ramp, slamming into the side of the Durango. The Infinity continued past the wreckage into an adjacent parking lot and hit a hydrant. The Durango was split into two pieces. The two boys, 10 and 5, were ejected. The 35-year-old mother and 3-month-old son are in critical condition in an area hospital. The California Highway Patrol on Sunday arrested Lemuel S. Wilson, 35, after he ran from the scene but later admitted himself into the hospital for his injuries.
