Unlicensed Redding Woman Causes Series of Accidents — Oct 13, 2017

A woman from Redding, 42, driving on Placer Street in Redding without a license, wrecked her vehicle three times in a row on Friday afternoon. As a result, sections of Placer Street and Court Street were temporarily shut down. The incident began at approximately 1:15 p.m. as Jennifer Cypert drove eastbound in her van without a valid license at a high rate of speed and collided with another driver on Willis Street. A pregnant passenger in that vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital. Cypert sped off from the scene of the accident, ran a red light, and hit a pickup truck exiting the adjacent parking lot. The pickup went sliding into a parked vehicle. Cypert still did not stop. She flew into a parking lot and hit an unoccupied car. She was knocked unconscious. Her van was smashed, including the windshield, and stopped in the parking lot. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
