Victim Identified in Fatal Martinez Accident — Aug 16, 2017

Jiwon Kim, 41-years-old, of Del Monte, has been identified as the victim in the fatal Highway 4 crash in Martinez. He had veered off the westbound lanes of Highway 4 close to the Alhambra Avenue exit. The crash occurred at approximately 4:05 a.m. He crashed into a tree in his Toyota Camry. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Drugs nor alcohol are not thought to have played a part. Some evidence suggests a medical event took place.
